What's the difference? Has anyone d/l it to their Instinct? If so, how did you do it? Was it worth it?

Also in mini, I think there's supposed to be a keyboard on the screen with the arrows, right? If so, that is not there for me. It's a blank box w arrows / + / * etc on the bottom. The only thing that works is the 'ok' key which switches to landscape view of Instinct keyboard.

Help / suggestions?

Why does no one use the search anymore?  Opera mobile will not work on the instinct.  It is for windows mobile phones.

If you do not have the keyboard in Operamini, then you probably don't have the latest software update.  Go to main>settings>general>phone information.  Your software version should be BK14. If it's not, then you need to update your software.

If you need to do that then please use the search and see if you can find your answer.

When you hit a field that requires text input in operamini, it should pop up a screen that has a box at the bottom that has  "T", a directional pad, an "ok", a "*" , a "#", another "OK", and a menu button.

If you hit the "T" or the top "ok" button then it takes you to the keyboard, where you can input your text.

That is the workaround they came up with to get us a keyboard for operamini.

Pretty kludgy but that works. Tx

Yeah, it's not the most elegant solution, but it's definitely better than nothing. Wink

True. Do you think opera has incentive to make it more elegant? browser is definitely superior to OEM version.

I would say probably no.  I really don't think it's Opera's concern.  It appears that the instinct operating system is kind of..unique.  I think it would be up to Samsung and Sprint to work something that looks better, but I would say that ain't gonna happen.  It took them forever just to get the keyboard working.

Tks 4 ur insights. A shame as I think this kind of thing will mean Instinct will always remain a wannabe as much as I like the device.  Opera only demonstrates how good it could be. Sigh
