Actually, I'm having this exact same problem and I am using the 2GB Samsung microSDHC card that came with the phone. Prior to the update, I never had any problems with the phone reading the memory card. After  the update (I'm not sure how much time passed but definitely less than two weeks), I have to take my card out and put it back in 3-5 times before I can access the Sideloaded videos. When I initially try to go to the Sideloaded videos, I get the "SD card can not be found. Please make sure that your SD card is properly inserted" message.

Like I said...I have to remove/reinsert the card multiple times before it will finally read the card. The strange thing is that I don't have to do this when I go to E-mail->Browse Files-> and select Pictures->Other images (from mem card) or Videos->TV/Video. It lists all of the files on first attempt...I can view the pictures and watch the videos without a problem, so it's obviously not an issue with the memory card.

The other night, I copied all of the files on the memory card to my hard drive, formatted the memory card (FAT32), put it in my phone, took a picture, hooked my phone back up to the computer, copied one video file over, tried to access Sideloaded videos, and got the SD card can not be found message again.

I did the policy hack on my phone after it was first posted on this forum and have not modified the permissions since then. The only thing that has been changed is the firmware update and let me just mention this...I didn't update my phone for 3 weeks after the update was released because I was worried that something like this would happen. However, I didn't see anyone on this forum reporting any problems after the update so I did it. Too bad I can't roll back...

I also am having the same problem as most of you. I copied the files from my Samsung 2gb card that came with the phone to my hard drive. I then bought an 8gb Kingston SDHC card that specifically said it was compatible with the Instinct. I plugged the 8gb into the phone and it said that no card was present. I then formatted the card and put it in the phone. Again it did not recognize it. Then I copied the original files that came from the 2gb card onto the 8gb card and put it in the phone. It still did not recognize the card. So I erased and formatted it once more.

I also tried connecting the phone via USB to the computer and still the same results. Then, with the computer and phone connected, I popped the card in and out, over and over. A couple of times it DID recognize the card. So I started moving my music files to the card and in the middle of the process, the phone no longer recognized the presence of the card and the data transfer suddenly stopped.

So I'm back to square one.

I also put 2gb card back in and it recognized it instantly, but when I popped it out and put 8gb SDHC back in, nothing.

I just don't get it. This should be simple.

Some one out there has to have had this problem and solved it.

By the way, the "out the new card in and format it by trying to take a picture" absolutely doesn't work. The phone just tells me to insert a memory card.

HELP!!
