I just wanted to point out the posting numbers between these forums. Yes, this confirms my belief that this phone is subpar. I still like it because I can watch TV, never get lost with the GPS, and with insurance I don't have to worry about breaking it but man do I regret not switching to the IPhone. I've been a Sprint customer for 8 years and I'm one of those loyalists that stick to a company unless something terrible happens. One of the main reasons why I didn't switch but when my sentencing.... errr.... contract is up I am going to convert. Very disappointed with this phone.

Another reason for that is pure human nature. We notice  every tiny little error and problem that happens. But we ignore it when the other 1000000 things go right. So when we get to talking to someone we tell them about the 1 problem we had instead of the 100000 things that went right

It's easy to point out every little flaw...
Most of the vents are repeats of old news...
If mods would clear out old post that arent relevent today, it wouldn't look so one sided.
For every vent with one app...there's a rave too...
Preference...guess it's what you want to spend your time doing....
Whining....or praising....for most, It's easier to b!tch..
police at least the warden at this joint gives a great price, while you do your time laugh

LOL, yea it's that I've been regretting my purchase for a while but the instinct has grown on me... like a mole I guess and it'll do for now. At least this great site has tips and tricks to hook up the instinct.

i know this is probably not the place for this but i keep seeing ppl say no insurance for the iphone could you not just get it from best buy and buy the extended warranty then they will fix or replace it for two years (most contract lengths) just a thought

...The other thing ppl miss-  This is not a PDA, it's a phone.  I've been here for awhile & finally decided to register after this thread.   The Instinct is a great piece of hardware & has a lot of potential on the software side.  Don't try & make direct comparisons to products that have had much more time to mature, it's not a legitimate comparison.

Furthermore, anyone in the sales field knows that you are much more likely to see complaints than praises.   Most ppl that love their phone don't take the added step of talking about it on a forum.  On the other hand, ppl that have had a bad experience are going to find every possible outlet to express their complaints regarding the product.

and finally...Perhaps this thread belongs in the "rant" section...  It looks to me as though someone is attempting to get a topic outside of the Rant forum a little traction to make a rant about his "sentence" with sprint...  Just my 2 cents.

Agreed...this should be in the rant/vent section.Unless they've started a backhanded compliment thread that I'm not aware of.

yeah... this should probably be in one of the rant/rave sections, but I have to be honest.  I check this forum almost on a daily basis and I have never been to either of those sections.  So sometimes it's nice to get an informed opinion with out people getting on their collective soap boxes.  I too have been with sprint for about 8 years and the sole reason I didn't get an Iphone is the fact that AT&T phone service is horrible and over priced, and I didn't want to switch providers.  a ton of friends have the iphone and love it, but hate the service.  I am very pleased with my instinct, but I also knew that it wouldn't do everything the Iphone does.  Let's face it.  the iphone has a TON more apps.  and always will.  that's why I will probably eventually get an Ipod touch.  But for now.  I love my instinct.  that is until something new comes out next year and I get my eye on a shiny new toy. :-)

You can also go out and get your own insurance from an insurance company. My friend pays $35 a year for his iPhone insurance. I think he has a $50 deductible.

How often does someone take the time to get online and make videos talking about how great products are? Never, they are always about how poor a product is.  Thats how we work, we rarely point out the good aspects, but dwell on the poorness of a product.
