Anyone know how I can get the unlock code for my instinct without a computer to run bitpim or what ever the name of that software is. if i need a computer to figure out the unlock code, were can I get bitpim or a similar app that runs on linux.

Unlock code....... do you mean your MSL code, or the actual 4 digit lock code you program yourself ?

Sure, call Sprint and ask for it. Tell them you are having internet issues and someone from the Sprint store told you you need to do a data reset, and when you tried to do it, you discovered you needed this code. Some CSR's @ Sprint have given folks a hard time getting the code, if you get one of these, hang up and call right back.

No, not that I am aware of. I really don't know anything about linux, so not sure of a program that is compatible with that, but calling Sprint is probably the easiest way you can get it.

Just call Sprint and ask for it. I walked into the Sprint store and said I need my MSL code. The rep said ok. and I walked out with it.

No problem.
