However, if you go into each news section, you can get to the news just fine.

LOL! Of course, the news looks just fine if when you go into the different categories of news... It's not been updated. It's still the same news that you had on there the last time you successfully updated your news.

This would appear to be either a) someone has figured a way to hack Sprint's servers or b) a generic error message placed there by a Sprint programmer (or a subcontractor) with a warped sense of humor... LOL!

Let's hope it's not a case of the former. If you watch the status messages during that manual update, at first it says "Connecting", then "Retrieving Data". That potentially means that a payload (virus) is being received to your Instinct.

I would recommend that no one else try this out until word from Sprint arrives that the problem has been resolved. Or at the very least for someone else to try it out and report that it's working fine again.

Thanks.

OMG! This is too funny!

I just ran back through some old news stories about Sprint. On January 11, 2008 former Sprint CEO Bill Esrey is quoted as saying:

"What I would do is make clear we are all in this together. We are all in one boat," said Esrey, who now works with New York City-based Ripplewood Holdings LLC. "There has to be a clear understanding there is one team with one goal."

Here's the link to the story: http://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/stories/2008/01/14/story4.html

Thanks.

It's no hack. It's a Sprint "Brain Fart" of the Condolezza Rice story on terror, kinda like our President.

Okay, speaking of news and yes I know the news video isn't working, but mine was working until MR4? How can one feature be so inconsistent amongst so many phones. Some people's never worked, some worked fine since day one, some just stopped working recently. I still haven't seen any official word on it.
