Is anyone elses "live search" completely f%#$ed up also?? The address and the map never match up. If you say for example "italian restaurant" , the listings that come up are never correct when it comes to which is the closest. If you do it again from the same spot, they're all in a different order. I live in DC, and the address to a certain place might be in Northwest, but when you look at the map, it shows in Southwest. The "live search" is totally messed up. Is anyone else experiencing this. Did I not set up something right?? I've used the GPS in my car and it worked fine(as long as you typed in the exact address). Otherwise, that didnt work very well either. Any feedback would be great.

My live search works fine.
Does it locate where you are at?

My live search is a little off sometimes. If I say chicken it come up
with a bunch of listings for towing places, how that is even remotely
close to chicken I have no idea.  However if I type chicken in I am fine.
(yes i am sure it recognized what I said because it shows that up top.)

Also on another note I have an address in my contacts and if I get directions
it will start to search for that and then come up with a totally different
address.  If I type in the address it's fine.

I haven't tried calling support or anything I figured if it bugs me so much
I will just take it back to best buy and get a new one.
(i got best buys warranty where if anything happens to it like dropping it
or getting it wet they will exchange it right there on the spot)

The only thing I can think of is maybe you don't have your phone set to know your location?

Mine too doesn't seem to work with saying what I want. It works fine if I type something in. The handoff between voice recognition and live search seems to not work properly.

My is working ok for now, try checking if your location is on. Also try turning your phone off by removing the battery and then putting it back in.

Another thing that occurred to me in addition to your location settings is that you have to train your live search. True it might not be the answer to your specific problem, but I was much happier with it once I did.

Mine's been ok, I thought, as I used it today to find a UPS store. I said U P S store and it found it and got me there flawlessly. But I just said chicken and it gave me the location of a bunch of churches. Haha, awesome.

when I say 'bacon' it gives me banks followed by places for breakfast.  Which is hilarious because when i bring home the bacon it's at the bank.

Live search works perfectly for me.

Live search defaulted to "Delran, NJ" (I'm in Philadelphia, PA) prior to the July 30th update. I hadn't bothered to check it until I saw this thread and it now defaults to Philadelphia, though still lists Delran as one of my locations.

I would wager they are using that VoiceCommand software for Live Search (the same one used for the rest of the phone), so if it's the voice recognition that you are having some issues with, it probably isn't related to Live Search itself.
