First Off my Volume with my New Instinct Purchased May 20, 2009 is super LOW.  I am going to try a new headset.  I had a cheap Plantronics and the volume is Non Existant on the Head Set with a Blue Tooth, Big Time ANnoying Angry Cry

Anyway I messed with the volumer via the Volume MOD and don't think it helped, but  want to get back to the STOCK SETTINGS Smiley

Can someone just Look at their Settings and tell me what they are please Cool  Here is how to get into the menu and then just use the volume to cycle through each menu and setting. BTW, my Volumes were not the same as below when I went into the Menu.  I have the latest Instinct, the S30.

THANKS Big Time I just want to get the settings back to STOCK!  Any Good BlueTooth Instinct Headset  suggestions are appreciated as well. Shocked

Enter test mode from dialer by entering:
47*869#1235

Enter code 078, these seem to be volume settings:

PCS HAND SPK 000
PCS HEAD SPK 120
PCS AHFK SPK 000
PCS SPKR SPK 120
PCS BTEM SPK 040
CEL HAND SPK 000
CEL HEAD SPK 120
CEL AHFK SPK 000
CEL SPKR SPK 120
CEL BTERM SPK 040

AHFK stands for Auto Hands Free Kit
Increasing it could potentially increase headphone volume.

The range on these values is 0 to 120

Volume up/down to move from one volume setting to the next, then type-in the new value and the Done button. Press # then 002 to get out.

Sorry, I dont remember original settings but I will suggest a stereo BT set. Jabra BT8010 is fantastic, with or without modding the volume settings. Crystal clear talking or playing music. Stereo earpiece is detachable from main earpiece as well. So use one or both earpieces. Very handy.

Thanks because this phone's volume is making me regret it since i talk 90% of the time on the earpiece in my car.  The volume settings someone is going to have to do what I said above and look at theirs and just post the values (0-120) for each setting, there are llike 9 or 10 of them.

Thanks

So, I risked going through all of the possible values, up to 100, of the "47*869#1235" menu of the phone and it created a list to reference for the future.  It was smooth sailing until I hit #062...

001       suspend
002       reboot
007       Get RF mode
008       Set RF mode
009       Setup defal2
014       CDATA
016       PCS DVGA
024       NAI Set
038       reboot
041       Backlight
042       Backlight level
043       Vibrator
044       DTMF
048       Camera flash
053       Battery value
055       Thermal value
056       Battery level
057       Battery level
062       ***RESET***
071       Audio AMP
077       Edit MIC
078       Edit SPKR
079       Edit ringer

Test mode commands may change slightly between different firmware revisions of the same model, so it's never a waste of time to write them down again if you're inclined to do so.

I did not brick (never even close) my instinct when I did this, so it's not huge risk if you want to experiment.  You will certainly wipe all of the data on your phone though if you're experimenting with test mode commands.
