I got this phone for my son and we are already on 2nd one. They just swapped it out last week. When watching Sprint TV, when loads from scene to scene, it is slow  sl and you get 1/2 of the coming scene loading on top of the current first scene. Pardon me for not having correct terminology, but maybe this means it is not "streaming" properly?
Whatever the term may be, it is most frustrating and makes it impossible to watch the TV function at all. It also pixelates badly, as well. Both S30's are doing it. I am waiting to hear how Sprint is going to handle this as it is out of the 30 day swap period now.
Anyone have this problem?

the original instinct had these issues and were fixed with hacks and updates from sprint that came months down the road....im not sure if the same hacks work for the s30 or not?? search the forums i guess for the tv buffer hack edit: tv MMG IP and Port Change

sorry mods for notifying my post  laugh meant to modify

anyways here is the link to the mmg ip stuff http://www.instinct-samsung.com/index.php?topic=6387.0

I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WILL WORK ON THE S30 let alone the menu options even being there, try it out though?!

"Smooth Out Sprint TV
MMG IP and Port Change:
This one is easy too.
1)Go to the dialer and type in ##DATA#
2)Click Multimedia
3)Edit
4)MMG
5)IP
6)Use the back arrow to delete what's there and input all zeros
7)Hit ok
8)Port
9)Use the back arrow to delete what's there and input all zeros
10)Hit ok, then done, and bam...you're done again.

Downsides to this one? The news videos wont work, but Sprint TV will be so much better it is rediculous. If you want to revert to normal, and didn't write down your IP it was: 068.028.031.020"

Doesn't work with the S30.  After I get to #3 it asks for a unlock code (it's not mine I imputted, I tried that one).

I don't really understand what you are saying in the parenthesis but for the unlock code, you need the MSL number. You can call Sprint and see if they will give it to you or search this form for the workaround for getting it. Without this number, you will not be able to continue beyond step 3.

I hear from a reliable Sprint source that the S30 is having some of the same issues that the original Instinct had/has. I am not real technical and do not feel comfortable doing the hacks, nor am I willing to wait on Sprint to develop the much needed software updates. so.... I had to go through Executive Services to get another model of phone for my son. Wasn't easy, but we swapped it out last night. He has the LG Lotus now. Sprint TV works like a charm, camera features are way better, has voice memo. Just about as close to a smart phone as it gets, without being a smart phone. Not a touch screen I know, but I'm just thankful we are done with this issue and he's satisfied with the phone.
Thanks to those of you that replied, I truly appreciate the input and help.

MSL was unlock code for me. I was successful in completing your tutorial.
I had the same default IP. My default port was 0554.
And like you mentioned before the buffer hack for the old instinct no longer works for the s30.

Just tested out a few channels. Things loaded up - seems to take longer like it's buffering longer...but live tv and the preloaded clip channels worked for me. Is it faster or smoother than before? A little...maybe. Is the image crisper? no. haha.

I actually was able to do all the other modifications on the link u provided earlier..including changing buffer length and home agent. So far...no problems.
After doing ALL 3 changes tv is smoother and web feels faster.

EDIT: After changing buffer length and what not, it says to do an "update data profile". I get an error:49657 saying profile update could not be completed.

I tried an update this morning, it worked. But the IP was set back to 255.255...
Web/TV etc was unaffected tho. So TV is still good and Web is still good. Guess that IP change wasn't good.
