Anyone else having this problem?  I've encloded a half dozen different videos using various settings and I still get the "Sorry, this channel is temporarily unavailable... Please try again later."
I've used Handbrake (tried all 3 different encoders for MP4) as well as Videora.
What gives???

Confirmed...I walked another member through setting up movies to play only to find he, too, was using 2 s30's.  They really didn't cover this phone too well on the basics...seems very limited vs open.

Try converting to a 3gp and see if it plays, or even a 3gp2 format to see...not the best quality, but worth the experiment...

Still, no one have any info. on this?  Is there an official Samsung app. to try to convert video to see if it's all formats that won't play?
By the way, my title should say all, not most...

I just tried Sprint tech support and it looks like they have no idea what's up.  Anyone have a encoder they know works for other Instinct phones to try?

Love how the tech. support guy said he'd call me back in half an hour with what he could find on this.  Never heard back...

#1 - use handbrake to convert your stuff
#2 - go here:
http://ars.samsung.com/customer/usa/jsp/faqs/faqs_view.jsp?isINPUT=Y&SITE_ID=22&PG_ID=0&AT_ID=152156&PROD_SUB_ID=0&PROD_ID=1615

Specs for resolution, codecs etc.

#3 - set handbrake to those specs, encode, ?, profit?
 Grin

EDIT: I don't have the s30, just throwing ideas out there.

Tried 2 more DVD's today, using Handbrake and converting to MP4 at 15fps and 400 x ? and another in MP4 at 15fps and 432 x ?  Both resulting in same "Sorry,...  Playback error".  This ain't working.  Anyone with a S30 able to play video?

I just received a 1 minute video from another forum member that works on his Instinct.  I get the same error as the other videos, so this might be a big problem with the new S30.

I'm only able to play mp4's with a resolution of 320x240 on my s30.  When I try to go 432x240 I get the same error.  Talk about a waste of a perfectly good widescreen...

Tried a movie encoded in MP4 at 320x? resolution and it works, so this is the limit for the S30.  My S30 is going back...  Looks like the original Instinct is better in almost all ways except not coming preloaded with Opera mini and the appearance.

Wish Zune was really coming out with a phone now...
