Internet keeps shutting down. I type in a website and hit done then it freezes for 30 sec and closes the web browser. Anybody has any idea why.. I see this happens to other people to. The web browser starts to crash on simple sites you have visited before.

Try a restore(does not delete data.) Go to ##data# and press restore. You need to know your msl code.

I am having a similar problem regarding the web browser shutting down, but it only happens on certain sites like the NY Times.   The browser opens the Times main page, but when I press on an article the browser freezes and then exits altogether.   Sites like CNN and USA Today work fine.  Would a restore help with this?

Yes.

Some say that visiting certain sites like wikipedia(the standard, not mobile) screws the browser on sites that worked before.

I am also having this problem on certain websites, and to tell you the Restore does not work, this is a bug in the browser and requires fixing. Possibly the updates might come in good use.

The MSL code has to be provided by Sprint, correct?   I'll at least give the restore a shot, but I went to Wikipedia and the same thing happened...browser froze and then exited.   Does visiting Wikipedia on your phones do the same thing?  Or is this different for everyone?
Thanks for all of the info....

Ok, so I bit the bullet and did a master reboot and that did indeed solve the web browser problem--sites like NY Times are working without incident and are no longer freezing up.   Reverting to factory presets was kind of a pain, but I had all of my contacts back on the phone within 15 minutes via wireless sync.    Tech support was pretty helpful, but as stated in an earlier post no one there was aware when the first software update would be available to fix issues like this.

Make sure never to use the standard wikipedia now.

All,

After I come out of the Web the phone freezes for about 10-20 seconds.  Also, any favorites I saved while I was online do not show up as saved.  It does not freeze all the time when coming out of the Web but 100% when I save a new favorite it freezes and does not register.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it?  Shutting it down has not helped.

Thanks,

Paky
