Samsung Instinct - Error in communication

I have a problem with my internet. I'm trying to download a ringtone off of myxer and everytime I press the link the go their website it always says error in connection. It's the same if I try to go to any website other then any of the sprint ones.

This pops up for me if I have no service. Try taking the battery out while the phone is on. Replace the battery and turn the phone back on. Go to Main : Settings: General : Update data profile.

Make sure you have service and give it another shot. Let me know if that works for ya

I just got my instinct 2 days ago and was having the same problem while trying to download the free Pandora app. I must plug in that I recommend this app to any one who uses the radio feature!
I finally took a shot in the dark and it worked! I went back into my browser settings and turned my "privacy" back to off, went back to the link and had no problems downloading it at all!!! Im listening to Linkin Park on Pandora right now!

I hope that this will help you... I dont know what your settings are but I know this was the hang up for me. Set your privacy setting to Off and touch the link again. Wink

Thank you sooo much! This Privacy setting was preventing all kinds of operations on the phone from the My Account button on the Web tab to re-downloading owned content via text message links to the new phone. You have resolved this perpetual frustration on my part -- now why didn't I think to change that setting!?! This should resolve any 'Error in Communication' messages anyone might experience when trying to access manage.sprintpcs.com, vm.sprintpcs.com or similar URLs using the built-in browser...
