Has anyone found a way around the limited number of bookmarks that the browser will hold?

It will be implemented with the virtual keyboard fix, as in no one will use Sprint's craptastic browser anymore anyways  Tongue

Funny you 2 should mention the browser and bookmarks. Ever since the update my browser works faster but I can't access my bookmarks anymore. It just "clicks" and then locks up the phone for about 20 secs and flips back to my speed dial list.  ireally don't want to do a hard reset. Also calling up the extra menu functions(i.e.entering a url) has the same effect  Tongue
Time to roll up the sleeves, get to the bottom of this and unify the browser issues.

Yeah, that's the known, bookmark corruption issue.  Really stupid...

That + some sites easily locking up the phone (nytimes.com for example) gets really, really annoying.  You can run into back-to-back crashing very easily rendering the browser almost unusable in some cases.  Most people are going to use the bookmarks on their browser the most, and that is what is most unstable...

Even worse:
-Browser does not fit text to the screen or even have an option (EVERY mobile browser does this)...
-No auto-complete for website urls (even non-touchscreen smartphones do this)
-Selecting fields or links at 1x zoom usually takes 5+ tries and zoom switching is SLOW (click, wait, click wait, now I can actually click on a link!)

I have little to no faith that Sprint can get this browser into even par status by the time HTC's phones roll around with Opera 9.5 + OM 4.1 (ignoring the fact that practically every phone in existence already has access to a superior browser).

I exported my Firefox bookmarks to a html file and upload it to a personal web page. Then bookmark the url on the Instinct and access them from browser. Also I was able to play around with web keyboards and bookmark the url on Opera mini 3.

Well smack my butt and tell me you love me! JK. You probably aren't pretty enough to touch my butt and my wife might object. It wasn't a "known" issue to me. Damn this job that keeps me away from my colleagues and off my phone! Seriously though, do I have to brainwash the little guy? Help me Obiwan, you're my only hope.

Basically, yes.  But overall it's futile because it can happen again eventually.
