Does this work at all with this phone?  Any time I click on Launch AIM Express from its site, it gives me this error about enabling cookies and javascript even though javascript is already enabled and it's not on privacy mode...

Does this just not work for this phone or...?

Thanks in advance.   Grin

How is that no good for most people? The core of the OS is java and everybody wants java apps to do everything.  The application would only be running when you want to IM someone, close it when your done. If you use a web app, it runs while you use it as well, close it when your done, that makes no sense.

Sorry its so very hard to convey meaning online. Anywho. What I was getting at is its akin to leaving a game open thats gay. On most phones you can do whatever you want and you will just get an alert that you have a new im like on a pc. Get it now?

The best way to use AIM on the instinct is AIM TXT
AIMŪ TXT
You already use IM Forwarding to receive instant messages while you're away from your computer. You always reply with a text message when your friends contact you with IM to Mobile. Now you can do much more with AIMŪ TXT, and it's all through quick text messaging on your cell phone.

AIMŪ TXT Features:

Update Your Status Message Wherever You Are
You're cheering on your favorite team and the game winning play happens before your very eyes - broadcast from the stands. All it takes is a simple text message to 246246 (AIMAIM). In the body of the text type "status" and the message you'd like to share - for instance, "status you should have seen that catch from here!"

1. You send: status you should have seen that catch from here! To: 246246

(If it's your first time using AIMŪ TXT, you'll receive a return text message, asking for your Screen Name and password)

2. You will receive a confirmation message that you've updated your AIMŪ Status Message

3. All of your buddies using AIMŪ 6.5 or above will now see your new Status Message, "you should have seen that catch from here!" below your Screen Name in their Buddy Lists.

Send IMs Through Text Messaging
Replying to an IM text message on your phone while you're on the go is great, but what if you want to start a conversation? Send IMs to your buddies by texting a simple "send" message to 246246 (AIMAIM). Say, for example, you want to send an IM to your friend ChattingChuck, thanking him for lunch:

1. You send: send chattingchuck thank you for lunch! To: 246246

2. Your friend, ChattingChuck, receives an IM from you that reads "thank you for lunch!"

Change Your Availability, Check Who's Online,
Add a New Buddy ...
All New AIM Features, All Through AIMŪ TXT

so basically on your phone send a text to 246246 to get started
