Yikes! Hmm ... thinking something might be corrupt. Will it let you delete all of the accounts to start fresh? Or does that give you errors too?

Or would you wait on the new software update to see if that fixes the problem.

It might be worth just resetting everything back to factory default and giving your existing phone another shot. You can back up your contacts if your phone plays nicely with mobile sync, and back up anything from your card. You'd have to redownload ringers and reassign contact pics, but you'd need to do those with a new phone too.

In this post someone details some reset steps:
http://www.instinct-samsung.com/index.php/topic,2292.msg33974.html#msg33974

But I notice that microb0x says it didn't fix the email issues.

Hey microb0x -- without me doing or leading paulinbna through a search, did you get your email troubles worked out?

I heard back from microb0x:

Yes, changing my home agent from to the IN primary one (68.28.153.76) did the trick, it also fixed all my PE issues, my normal area would have been chicago.  It has worked since I made the change several days ago, and yesterday I did a data profile update and its still working.

Ok Gmail works like a charm but I cant get comcast to connect to sprint email. I use mail.comcast.net for incoming and smtp.comcast.net for outgoing plus SSL on the outgoing.
I am going to bed now I am so tired of this.

Unless you're using an ICMail workaround ... I'm pretty sure you won't be able to get comcast mail directly out of the phone. I'm sorry, I should have asked about which email was giving you trouble!  I can't remember if we've talked about the ICMail option or not -- so I'll point you here:

Pay attention to the first post, and then there's a piece of info here that the Sprint rep updated  when the email app update got pushed out to our phones:

OK comcast did not work properly on my Treo until I found a long hack for the phone. I guess I will have to work around the comcast account.

I had the same problem and I did what Andrew.Sprint.Tech said in the post on the first page. I already had the msl number, did the rtn reset, setup my email address and everything has been working fine. Keep in mind that when you do a rtn reset it will delete all downloaded apps, ringtones, contacts and etc. It brings the phone back to it's default state as when you got it out of the box. Once you reset the phone, it will ask you to put in your phone number and that's it. If your contacts are backed up like mines were by sprints mobile sync, then you will get all your contacts loaded back onto the phone within a couple of minutes. I also removed my memory card before the reset to avoid losing my pictures and videos. I have both earthlink and gmail email accounts and have no problems now. I didn't bother to download the optional email update that pops up because my email problems had started after I did that in the very beginning. So right now without the update, my emails have been working fine where as before, my email accounts would work for 5 hours and then the error message would come up. I was basically re-installing my email accounts every 5 hours. Now my email accounts have been working for a couple of days now without problems.

Paulinbna......I use earthlink email and it wouldn't work with smtp.earthlink.net as the outgoing server. I found out that the outgoing server has to be smtp.sprintpcs.com and leave the ssl and smtp off.
