This is so frustrating this time when I check email is says: Requires Authentication Sprint must approve your email service. Approval for you service is not currently confirmed. I click Verify and it comes right back to the same screen. The only way I can get it go off is to reset the application.

WTF the email has not worked constantly since I got this phone.

I started getting the same message last night.  My weather, news, sports, etc doesn't work either, I get a different message on those.

I've been on the phone for an hour and 15 miuntes now....Sprint still can't figure out the new, sports, etc issues.  I reset my email and added the accounts back in and they work now.  Sprint is going to "call me back" because he can't figure it out right now.

Resetting the email app only works for a little while then it goes right back to the same error.

Great.  I ended up on the phone for 2.5 hours.  I sat and waited for them to call me for 30 minutes because the guy on the phone said he's call me back in 2 mintues, he needed to check something.  I called 30 minutes later and the guy that was supposed to call me back had put on my account that everything was OK.  Now an engineer is supposed to call me within 48 hours to get the news, weather, etc working.  I delt with 4 people and none of them could figure it out.  They reset my MSID 5 times.  Good thing is they credited my account $110 for the 3 hours of my life I'll never get back.  They said if the engineer can't fix it, they'll mail me a new phone. ...we'll wait and see

I highly doubt it is your phone since I am having the same problems with mine about the news etc and it seems to have started about the same time.

I gave up talking to Sprint a long time ago when I had the same thing happen three times that is 9 hours for three differant times.

It was working ok for last 6 days but since last night I can't get any email into my Phone. Whenever I go to check my e-mail, I get an error box that pops up stating:

 

Requires Authentication

I hit verify, and nothing happens.  Anyone else go through anything like this???

This problem can be resolved by resetting the device via RTN, however this will erase all data on the phone... Sprint Mobile Sync or Desktop Sync can be used to backup contacts prior to doing this... you will have to call in to speak with a Technical Support Specialist or an Advanced Technical Support Specialist to get the MSL to perform the reset.

I actaully got a new phone today because sprint swears it's my phone.  Still having problems iwth news/sports/weather/etc.  The email client hasn't failed YET, but I've had it for only 4 hours so I'll give it more time.  I was on the web chat today for 2 hours with a technician and they had me reset the phone twice and it didn't fix the issue.  I get the "error 7004: your device is not configured correctly.  You will not be able to use the services until your device is."  When I try to view "my account" it says no premium services are available.

I'm in SE Michigan so it looks like it's here for me, 1 in the D, one in Chicago, and one in Fayetteville (not sure which state).

Others on this forum are having similar issues.  I've been trying to post to their threads so I can keep updated.

Have I told anyone how much I love sprint?

Got a reply back from Seven the makers of the email software and they said is properly the phone blah blah blah. I replied well if it the phone why are so many people having the same problem and also why am I able to get email some times but not other times. We will see what they reply to that.

I am able to erase my account by going into the Email settings and "reset application"

That deletes the accounts and lets you add them back again.

New phone bombed the email this morning.
