I've been receive this message on my Instinct for the past couple of hours when attempting to do a Refresh of my GMail account on my Instinct:

Notice

Some changes are pending to be synced out. Please try again later. (S7822)

  • I'm able to get to that same GMail account from a PC with no problems
  • I'm able to do a refresh on Yahoo, AIM, HotMail, and Embarq eMail accounts on my Instinct with no problems
  • My Instinct Operating System is at level BK14
  • I upgraded my eMail software this morning (with no problems) to release 6.9.3.377
  • I cycled the power on my Instinct after I first noticed this issue, but the problem remains
  • I performed a general search on this site (across all forums) and came up with no hits for S7822
  • I performed a Google search across the web for S7822 and found several references to pending legislation (LOL!), but nothing remotely approaching what I'm experiencing.

Does anyone out there have any ideas?

Thanks.

While I have no idea what specific problem is making that error code pop up I'm sure many people are having issues today with the email.  Just imagine 1,000 getting online at your house using the same wireless connection.  I could guarantee it wouldn't work.  There are thousands of people accessing the servers for the email upgrade and messages.  Give it a day or so to calm down and I doubt you'll have a problem.  If you continue to have problems tomorrow contact "bdroad" on this forum and when he gets some time I'm sure he can give you a hand. Thanks dfootball for the prompt reply. It's not the end of the world for me or anything like that. I'd just rather post the full description of the symptoms I've noticed surrounding the problem and all pertinent information in case someone else out there might be encountering the same thing. At least this way, the search for S7822 will return something for someone else should they be wondering about it also.

Again, thanks.

MSpence, like dfootball said, it's probably the sprint e-mail servers being crushed...  try accessing your gmail through your browser / opera and see if that works...  i'm pretty sure what dfootball is what's happening...  i've had problems with gmail access through the phone e-mail as well...

Yea I've tried getting my mail a few times and it says server busy so I'm sure it will mellow out as the night progresses Smiley.

After a week of waiting on Sprint's servers to "mellow out", I opted to delete that email account from my Instinct and re-add it to the phone. Voila! It works again. However, I regard that as an inconvenient workaround, rather than a resolution of a problem. There should have been no reason for the problem to have occurred in the first place and no reason at all for it to have continued for a week. And by merely deleting and re-adding that email account resulting in that account working perfectly again indicates that the problem was not with the Sprint servers at all, but rather with the client software (namely, the Instinct software upgrade).

Thanks

Just do what spencer said, delete your email from your phone and reinstall it.  It worked for me

Hello all. in order to fix this issue you need to go to email, then you hit the left arrow. in email home page, hit the gear symbol on the top of screen. next you hit refresh all data. your email should be working in less than a minute after that.  Wink
