I've tried everything including contacting Sprint and hope someone here can come to the rescue.  I am unable to setup my Yahoo Bizmail account on my Samsung Instinct.  I receive the following error:
"Unable to log in to this account.  Please check your username and password and try again.  (S7118)"

I have verified that the information has been entered properly but continue to receive the error on the phone.  I entered the same information in Windows Mail (in Microsoft Vista) and was able to access my email with no problem.  I contacted Yahoo and they confirmed that there are no issues on their side.

Can anyone help?

Information provided by Yahoo:
Your POP/SMTP Settings
Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.bizmail.yahoo.com
Use SSL, port: 995
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com
Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication
Account name/user name: xxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx
Email address: xxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx
Password: Your Business Email password

Information Entered on my Samsung Instinct:
Setup New Account: Other POP
Email: xxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx
Password: My password
Incoming Mail Server: pop.bizmail.yahoo.com
Port Address: 995
Use SSL: On
Account Name: xxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com
Port Address: 465
Use SSL: On
Use SMTP Auth: On

Thanks in advance for any help you may provide.

I was able to resolve the S7118 error by switching the "Email" field to my Yahoo email address xxxxxxxx@yahoo.com while leaving the "Account Name" field set to my personal bizmail email address.  However, now my outgoing emails are showing that they are sent from my Yahoo account xxxxxxx@yahoo.com and not my personal bizmail email address.  I hope this helps someone out there with the S7118 error because this was driving me crazy.  If you can resolve my new issue please help.

Information Entered on my Samsung Instinct:
Setup New Account: Other POP
Email: xxxxxxxx@yahoo.com [THE CHANGE]
Password: My password
Incoming Mail Server: pop.bizmail.yahoo.com
Port Address: 995
Use SSL: On
Account Name: xxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com
Port Address: 465
Use SSL: On
Use SMTP Auth: On

I have a similar problem with my "AT&T now powered by Yahoo!" email account.  I can do web mail and use Outlook Express fine, but I can't get my Instinct settings right.  I know I'm missing something dumb.  Here's the AT&T instructions:

Open your email client program.
Locate the email account settings for your particular client.
Change the POP server to pop.att.yahoo.com.
Change the SMTP server to smtp.att.yahoo.com.
Check the option labeled Use an encrypted connection (SSL).
Change the SMTP port to 465.
Check the option labeled Use an encrypted connection (SSL).
Change the POP3 port to 995.
Confirm the above settings before clicking OK.

These settings don't work.  I tried changing Outgoing Mail Server to smtp.out.sprintpcs.com but that didn't work either, plus toggling SSL a few times and changing the port for good measure.  I have my account name set the same as my email address.  Anyone have any ideas what I'm missing?  Before AT&T changed over to Yahoo! email, everything worked fine, so I know it's just something to do with the settings.  Thanks!

No problem, I just had to delete your account so you could start over from scratch. Let me know if you run into the issue in the future.

This forum seems to be the only one where people have a solution to the S7118 issue.  I had an email working fine through OWA, but after a few months stopped.  Sprint had me delete the account and reset it, then I started getting the S7118 error.  After six months arguing with them, they replace the phone, but I still have the issue.

I've tried everything I've seen so far, but nothing's helped.
