yes I searched, didn't see this particular issue covered.
yes, I already contacted sprint (via chat), soft reset the phone, reset the mail app, updated my data profile, etc. I didn't call the 1-888 number yet.

Riddle me this - why do newly created / sent emails go out OK but only replied to emails get stuck in my outbox permanently?  Angry

I can create a new email to myself and in seconds it shows up on my desktop outlook client. If I reply to that same email, via my Instinct - nothing, drops into Outbox. If I reply to the email using my desktop outlook client, it's fine.

Using corporate OWA, this used to work OK but has been wonky for the past 1.5-2 weeks (not sure exactly when it started)

I do have my email log - some things look suspicious:

I'll do a bit of testing on my end to see if I can reproduce this.

Thanks!

Really odd - makes no sense, I can send new but not reply.

Let me know if there is more of the log you would want to see.

I'm not sure if you are the exchange administrator but are you using a 2003 exchange server? Also, do you have a comma and or "<" character in the display name?

Not the admin - we use a 2007 client but not sure about the server. As just a user, is there anyway to confirm?
no commas or "<"s, just first.last@mycompaniesname.com

And thanks again for looking into this!

Well, that depends on if your using OWA, or some ISP. Floyd's OWA server had an issue with characters in the display name.

What kind of email account are you having issues sending with?

I am having the same problem (I think) with my Instinct.  I am on Outlook 2007 with an OWA Exchange server through my office.  Any replies get stuck in the outbox, though I now have reports that recipients actually receive the emails multiple times (like up to 10 times), yet the emails appear stuck in the outbox and never make it to "sent" messages.

One email was addressed to "fname lname" <fname.lname@company.com>.  Another simply to fname.lname@company.com

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Which Instinct model do you have?

[/quote]

It is model SPH-M800.

The messages only seem to get stuck when I have bad service, i.e., they can't send right away and then get stuck in the outbox.  Thanks!
