So I've had my Instinct s30 for about 3 weeks now and OWA was working just fine.  Now for the past week I have not been able to connect to my work email using OWA.  Everytime I click on my work email I get the message to "Re-enter Password" as it seems to have changed.  Well it has not and I am able to log on to OWA from my home PC just fine.  When I enter in my password on my Instinct it appears to accept it but I never recieve any new mail, clicking refresh again ask me to "Re-enter Password", etc.  Anyone know what is going on?  I have the current phone update and the Sprint Mobil Email version I have is 6.9.3.436 Build: 3/6/2009.  Not having this, for me, really takes a lot away from the phone.  Any help would be appreciated.

Moving this to the email section.  It'll get the attention it needs there.

I am seeing the same problem on my original Instinct.  We have Exchange 2007 at work.  Sprint has not been much help, although they did help me roll back my Instinct to Sprint Mobile Email v 6.9.1.238 which got email working again, but that version doesn't have calendar support in it.

I'm on the phone with Sprint again telling them that if there are two of us then there must really be an issue.

Ok so now I am occationally getting an S7211 error (Incorrectly formed request to server.  Please try again later) after entering in my OWA password.  Is this an indication that Sprint is working on the issue?

I too am getting the re-enter password error.  I had been running fine for the last 6 months or so, but for the last five days - nothing.  Occasionally in the past I would drop the connection to my work email (via OWA), but I'd be able to delete the account and reconnect.  This time nothing has worked.  I've been on multiple calls w/ Sprint and have not gotten anything useful.  The last call suggested I reset the phone which I will probably try tonight.  The Sprint folks kept telling me it's a network problem at work, but I've checked with the outlook admin and the phone seems to be connecting, but it is sending a bad password.

Frustrating!

After talking to Sprint "Advanced Technical Support" for several hours yesterday again, and getting the standard run around for the fifth time since I started investigating this on Friday, they finally agreed that the problem is on their end, not at my work.  When they finally opened a ticket for the "offline" folks to look into it, they found that there was already at least one ticket open on this issue.  I hope this means that they have already been working on the issue.

edit: bdroad contacted me by PM and is trying to help - fingers crossed

Add another user to the list having the same issue. I guess the difference is that I have the original instinct. I was able to check my work e-mail (exchange 2007) until yesterday around 4pm. Since 4pm yesterday all I get is the re-enter password deal. I deleted the account and re-added it since that used to fix the problem in the past but this time it didn't work. I've been able to check my work e-mail in my phone for like 5-6 months. Now it just keeps asking for my password, no e-mails or appointments get downloaded. I my case it acts like it has logged in but once it starts downloading data it asks for the password again and again, etc. What really sucks is that I'm going out of town for training and wasn't going to take a laptop with me since I could answer to important e-mails from my phone but... that may not be the case anymore.

Well, don't reset your phone - it doesn't work.

I did the complete reset last night and I'm still being prompted to re-enter my work password after I set up the work email account agian.

I'm on w/ Sprint right now and I'm being told to do everything I've already done.

As I said before....frustrating!

The comedy of errors continues...

Just completed another call w/ Sprint w/ mild success.  Using a ## code the email application was completely reset and I was able to synch up w/ my work outlook email.  However, no calendar.

The next time I entered email I was prompted to upgrade to version 6.9.3.377.  I did.  Big mistake - back to the re-enter password prompts again.

I re-ran the ## reset w/ the same "success."  I now have my work email running, but I do not have my calendar.  Better than nothing, but still frustrating!

Yep, same scenario.  Then in order for them to write the ticket for me they told me I had to allow the update to 6.9.3.377 to complete.  So I did.  And now I'm still stuck without mail or calendar.  I would call back for the reset ## code but I'm sick of dealing with them right now.

Edit: I just noticed the OP said the mail version they had was 6.9.3.436 dated March 6, 2009.  My version is 6.9.3.377 dated Nov 21, 2008.  When I tell Mail to check for an update it says I have the latest version of the client.  What's up with that?  Is there a newer client out there perhaps, or was the newer client part of the failed firmware update from earlier this month?

Edit2: Thanks for looking into it for us bdroad.

Hello,

I'm currently viewing servers logs when connecting to geemers exchange server. I'll let you know what I find by tomorrow.

Thanks,

bdroad

I'm running version 6.9.1.238 (May 08 2008).  While it doesn't seem to be pushing my work email I am able to pull new messages in.  No calendar at all.

Still no fix for this issue.  I guess it is a tough one.  It must only impact a small percentage of the Instinct-Exchange users.  If no one could use Exchange on an Instinct I think the number of people posting here would be much higher.

I am going to need to reset my phone back to factory default Friday or  Saturday, so I can get back to the working version 6.9.1.238.  I have to have at least email working again.

This is very frustrating.

I added my work email to my phone and this time it worked. I hope that means that they fixed whatever issue they were having. Yay my OWA is working again. I wonder for how long. =-s
