I am trying to set up my work email using my Instinct. I recieve the error message "S7119 Before registering your client, you must login to your web account.". I have logged into the OWA mail client several times. I was successful in setting up my Yahoo and Gmail. I am not sure what is causing this issue or how to remedy it.

I was getting random error codes a while back, I can't for the life of me remember if that was one or not. We do have a member of this site who works for SEVEN, the company who built and manages the email applications on our phone. We'll see if he can assist.

Is this a new work account that you setup? Is there mail in the inbox? Have you ever setup this work account in another email client like outlook?

my work e-mail has worked since I had the phone for ten days. The last update sent to my phone the link does not work. I have uninstalled and reset up the url. I am getting the error. Unale to establish connection to your utlook web access. I have used a PC web browser to log on with no problems. Did the new update mess up the OWA link system?

Do you happen to know the exchange version your company is using? Also, if you want to private message me the OWA url I can look into it for you. Thanks, Bdroad

I just got the Instinct two weeks ago. I am getting the same s7119 error when trying to set up my work email. I have two co-workers that had no problem setting up thier email accounts. I have a ticket open for this issue since 01/07 but have not gotten a resolution to the problem as of today. Can some one please help. This is getting to be frustrating.

If you want to private message me the ticket # and the rep you are working with I can take a look at it for you and see if I can speed up the process.

I have the exact same issue as Firedog. If anyone has a solution, please let me know. I am on the verge of returning the phone because of this. Thanx.

What does it say when the s7119 error comes up on the device? Is it a new email account that you are trying to configure? Have you ever logged into the account via web view if it is new?

The message is a Notice tha reads "You must login to your web account before registering on your device (S7119). It is an existing account and I have logged into it many times from my desktop at home. Thanx.

MSLADE, There is a work around for this problem. Ping your exchange server on your computer and then on your phone put in " https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" where "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" is the IP address of your exchange server. That is what I had to do to get it to work. No help from Sprint what so ever!!! I don't think that their technical support has a clue!!!!

Not sure why changing the URL to an IP address would make any difference. I'm sure it would yield the same results as taking the /exchange or /owa off of the end of the OWA URL. If it doesnt work after doing that you can send me the device logs on the device so I can see why its failing.

Thing is I had a tech support ticket two months ago and no one at sprint could solve the problem. They closed the ticket without a resolution. It just so happens that shortly after they closed the ticket I stumbled across a post on another blog that said to try the IP address as the server name and it worked.
I don't have the time or energy to fool with this problem any more. It is working for me with the IP address so thats the way it will stay with my phone.

Oh yeah no worries. I was actually talking to the other poster if changing his URL to the IP doesnt work to message me. =) Glad that yours is working though.
