I have been having the S7109 update almost constantly since the email upgrade.  Lots of responses that say the server is too busy, or unable to connect to server.  Any ideas?
thanks,  (yes, i have serched!)

I've been having the same problems, and I have a theory.

Since the email update the servers have probably been overloaded. I know that a lot of people have set up their work emails, and I think it's very possible that Sprint/SEVEN didn't anticipate so many people to use it.

I would be patient. I'm sure that Sprint will get things straightened out. Til then, Opera Mini is more than capable of reading any email site.

Well, I was still having trouble this morning so i did a soft reset "removed the battery and waited 2 minutes) and it seems to be quite happy now.  Not sure what was up but hey, whatever works right! Tongue

It's one of those errors that usually takes care of itself...you just have to have a little patience Smiley

Pretty much.

The s7109 means there is an issue with your data connection. You can usually fix it by removing the battery or simply by connecting your device to the internet via a web browser which usually refreshs the data connection.

Has anyone been having this problem lately? Since last Thursday I have been getting this message all the time. Today the last time the e-mail updated was this morning at 11:00 am. I have restarted my phone and nothing. Last week I reset the e-mail application and the problem went away during the weekend but during the last 3 days this has happened every single day.

Are you sure that it is not your data connection? Have you tried deleting the email applications temp files? Try that, then removing and re-adding the account to see if it resolves it for you if your data connection is ok.

My connectivity to the internet was working. Actually all apps that needed internet connectivity were working except for the e-mail app. My e-mail app is working now. I turned off the phone, took the battery out for a minute or so and after that it started working. It was just weird. I've gone 24 hour without issues... let me knock on wood.... I hope sprint fixed whatever was wrong. I was just trying to see if more people were having my same problem.

Thanks for the reply

It returned!!!!!  Cry
Ok, so when I got up this morning I noticed that my e-mail accounts had not updated since 1:56 am. I manually hit refresh and after a while go the s7109 connection error. I went ahead checked that my internet connection was working using the browser, which it was. I clear the cache and temporary files tried to update the e-mail again and no luck. error s7109 came up again. I took the battery out of the phone for about a minute, turned the phone on and hit fresh again and that didn't work. Next I tried to delete one of the four e-mail accounts I had set up in the e-mail app but I couldn't. I got the s7109 error code while the account was trying to delete. My next step was to reset the e-mail application which I did. It deleted all the accounts as it is suppose to do. The wizard came up. I clicked next and after a while I got the error again so I couldn't even start adding an account.

What the heck is going on? No one else is having this problem? It seems strange.

Hmm. Strange indeed. You can send me the device logs on the phone, that may shed some light on your issue. Is it an OWA account that this issue occurs on? You can setup a test account on your exchange server and send me the credentials. I could then test and tell you why its happening as well as a resolution.

If you need a walkthrough on how to send device logs let me know.

bdroad...I've been getting that error for about 2.5 months...at least.I just gave up.When I click refresh email on my phone...I can see desktop connector grabbing the mail and transfers it...and then the phone gives the error and says to check the desktop is running. I've done it all...reinstall,reconfigure anything I can think of.But like I said,I just gave up and use Gmail. It would be cool to get it going again,so any thought would be appreciated, not only by me but others I'm sure..... Well, to get the stupid question out of the way.... Does desktop connector say "Connected" and stays green?

If it really is connected, and you are getting the error it could be for a few reasons:

1) There is a calender entry that the device is having an issue reading which causes it to fail on the initial sync.
2) The desktop connector is having an issue pulling mail from the server which causes the initial sync to fail on the device.

If you go into the desktop connector settings, there are two options you need to enable:

1) Check the box for Debug Loggin On.
2) Enable support view.

Try to reproduce the s7121 error a few times then send me the Desktop Connector user name. I can take a look at your logs from here and tell you why its happening.

Thanks,

I get this error at least 5 or 6 times a day with my Yahoo account.   Sometimes clearing the cache works, sometimes you have to do that plus remove the battery and then sometimes all of that plus re-set the application.   It's becoming VERY annoying.   All the while - all other web apps work fine.

Sounds like your issue may be related to data coverage or signal quality.
