When I try to refresh my email (Work, Yahoo, Gmail, or IMAP) I get the following error:

Unable to connect to the server. Please check your data connection and try again (S7109)

Web Browser, TV, Radio, Weather, News, Movies, Update Data Profile, Etc... works just fine though...

I've also checked my email using outlook on my PC to verify that my email servers are working fine. Something is definitely wrong with the email client on the instinct. Some days email works great and some days it just doesn't work. Anyone else getting the same error?

Im not having any problems, try deleting your email account from the instinct and then add it again.

I didn't do anything different this morning. My emails are syncing just fine now.

I'm curious as to how the client actually works. Does it connect directly to the email server or does sprint act as a middleman (connect to sprint server then your email server)?

Seven Networks acts as a Proxy to the mail server.

Time for a strong necro-post. I am getting this endlessly tonight, it's pretty annoying, but seems to come and go.

When your battery reaches a low level, around 10-15%, the push functionality will stop working to perserve battery life. When it reaches this level you will have to perform manual syncs to receive email.

I see that this is occurring again tonight/this morning, it is now 4AM (just woke up), and all 5 of my set-up email accounts are experiencing the S7109 error.  Yet as in the other cases, TV,WEB, etc. all work perfectly.  SO, before I start screwing around with all of my mail, which is so tedious, I will just wait it out and hopefully service to mail will be restored soon...

This should now be corrected, is anyone else seeing this issue now?

Can only connect to one email account on server - others don't try to logon.
