My email on my Instinct was working until my computer crashed and I had to purchase a new computer with Vista and Outlook 2007.  Now my emails come through sparotically and when they do, they only stay for a short time.  If I don't catch them or I do a refresh, they are deleted.  I can, however, send emails.  I have checked to be sure that the settings are correct with Outlook.   I am using Pop 3 with Verizon.

I have made numerous calls and visits to the Sprint offices and to Verizon without any help.  Verizon states that their only responsibility is to my receiving emails in Outlook on my desktop.  Sprint said the software on the phone was corrupt and replaced the phone, which I didn't think was the problem, written several trouble tickets and promised to have a tech call me, which has not happened.  The last comment was that there was something wrong with my account on the server.

Has anyone had this problem and if so, what was the solution?  Thanks for your help.

Is it the emails at the bottom of the list?  Or just random emails?  If it's at the bottom of the list, your phone only supports 25 emails at a time.  So when another comes through it throws the last email out.

that can be changed in the settings in increments of 25 up to 100.

No, it's all emails.  Once in a while I catch one but if I do a refresh it disappears.  The phone email history shows that I received the emails, they just do not stay on the phone long enough for me to read them.  When I first got the phone and before I replaced the computer all of my emails would show up and stay until I deleted them.

Under account options in outlook, check the box that says "Leave messages on server". This should resolve your issue.

good luck.

bdroad, it looks like that worked.  I can't believe it was that simple and no one at Sprint or Verizon knew the answer.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
