Hello

Just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue. I have the desktop connector to push my outlook email to my instinct phone. what I notice is all email is sent to the phone including my spam but on outlook all spam goes to my spam folder. Is there a way to have only the good email go to my phone.  It seems to send the email as it comes in and before the spam filter moves it.

I get a lot of spam!!!!

It depends on the E-mail.

My Hotmail filters first then just sends my Inbox ( problem for ma as I have certian folders for other E-mails and I have to go Web to get to those). But my Verizon POP3 accounts ( 2) are doing like yours and sends everything.

I think maybe the workaround it to go to the E-mail settings ( from source not Outlook [verizon for me]) and do your filtering there.

Outlook it's self is just a Push as well thats why it's not doing the filtering from there , most likely it's hitting them both about the sdame time from what I can see.

The reason the desktop connector is doing that is because its pulling from your server, not your outlook client. That is also why the above user gets his mail filtered because his filtering is done on the server at hotmail. So, bascially the outlook filters you have setup or ONLY for outlook. It will not work with your device, unless you add those filters to your server, instead of the outlook client.

However, you can setup those same filters on an exchange server. Thats really the only way you are going to get spam filtering on your device. Talk to your IT Admin to get this setup for you.
