Hey all,

I've looked everywhere for answers on this and havent been able to find any.  I hope someone out there can help me on this.  I have the desktop connector setup on my home computer for email access to outlook through my instinct.  Its been working fine, however my computer has been dogged slow.  I ran a registry cleanup/xp medic on the computer and now the desktop connector won't connect.  I get the generic "Cannot Find Server" error.  My computer is much faster now though :-)

pertinent log files are below:

I'm not behind a proxy I've tried the "automatic detect settings" and i've turned off proxy support with consistent results.  I'm not sure what else do.  Any help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated.

try uninstalling and reinstalling. your registry cleaner obviously wiped a valid desktop connector registry entry reinstalling theoretically should replace the entry

Yea thats what I thought too, I uninstalled and reinstalled and it didn't help.  I also noticed that when logged in under the profile where desktop connector runs you cannot connect to anything over ssl.  Page Cannot Be Found is thrown for any https site.

I'm not sure how tech savvy you are but you can secure SSL test to your mail server to see if your computer can connect to it or see if its just your browser that is having issues.

Looking at your log file the desktop connector is using a local proxy you have installed on your machine thats configured in Internet Explorer browser. Did you set this proxy up manually? Do you have a proxy? Is your proxy configured correctly to handle SSL or any traffic on porn 443?

Check all of those settings and make sure its correctly set in your browser as well under Internet Options.

Good luck

I'm getting "cannot find server" this morning. I was wondering if by chance it's on sprints end. Is anyone else having a problem this morning?

I had to uninstall, reinstall, and check "enable debug logging", which you might try before uninstalling. This is under tools, settings, andanced. It works now
