I'm curious, why do you think searching would have helped. 

If i had searched (and I did) I would find three Pandora threads (and I did).  I would still have to pick one to post to.  Not everyone would pick the same one I did.  Still leaving us with three posts.

The fault isn't ours, and searching isn't the fix. 

May I suggest authenticating all new threads via e-mail.  Not posts but threads.  So some admin (or multiple admins) get an e-mail that a new thread was requested.  They can approve/deny.  I've done this on two forums that are corporate based with 5,000 to 10,000 posts a day and was able to manage it on my own with very little time lost.

It was a professional and respectful post.  It was an honest question to which I don't think you answered.  I don't see how searching will help the situation.  I wanted to make sure the post-ers of the different Pandora threads (who are not the same people) get updated via e-mail.  The new posts thing only works if you care about the entire forum.  I for one, as do many others, don't.  I only check the forums that I've set to notify me.  I'm not alone.

You know the reason for my response.  After your Private message.  Now if you have any direct reply to me feel free to send me a Private message.  No reason to clutter up the thread because you don't agree with anything that goes on here and always have a smart ass remark to say.

To answer your question.  The reason for searching is to not be lazy.  If there are 3 threads on a subject you are questioning then read all 3.  Now we try to merge everything we can and hey, guess what, we miss some stuff too.  We volunteer our time to this thread.  We have jobs.  Do you think we get paid to do this?  So if we miss a merge or 2 or 10 then I promise, you will be ok.  Just makes you have to read a little bit more and I greatly apologize if you don't like to read but that's the risk you take when joining a forum. 

Now like I said.  If you have a reply to me then Private Message me as this is obviously a conversation between you and I.
