Some cool options with the camera app:

You can select to have the shutter release when the subject smiles (how do they do that?)
Self timer can be set
Scenes can be set - landscape, sports, portrait etc.

Does it have digital zoom?

You guys are making me jealous because our BB says "we were told not to sell it until Sunday, so we won't".  Angry

No digital zoom

It DOES have a digital zoom. Just press the volume rocker while in camera mode. Volume down zooms in up to 4X in increments of .25(so it starts at 1.0 then 1.25, 1.75, 2.0 etc...)

Another cool feature is doing the slide show when viewing your ptictures. It can show them like it's rotating a cube with the picutes on them, or the can come spinning out of nowhere...very cool visual effects built in. Has to be a better processor than the old phone to do this stuff. Picures look very good btw. Oh, there is a mode to take multiple pictures in one shot as well as scene modes and white balance control like your everyday P&S shooter.
The flash has on, off and auto modes. There is a self-timer as well. Too much cool stuff.

Also you can put a picture wallpaper behind the main screen!!!! This is really what the original instinct should have been like! This one really kicks some major a$$! My only complaints thus far: Sorry this chanel is unavailable errot message(RTSP 0) when playing some video files. likfe from youtube. The ones that do play are SUPER CLEAR!. The back, home, and call buttons on the phone don't flash when you are away from the phone and miss a call or text(like thoriginal Instinct did), Sprint Radio doesn't show all the channels yet (only SEE MUSIC) and Pandora isn't working yet. All of these are minor fixes that I'm sure Sprint will correct as soon as the phone is launched. Other than these minor issues, the HD is a feature packed powerhouse! Way to go Samsung! I can see myself keeping this one for at least two years:)

Yeah, my guy initially said something like that but he was willing to call his boss and she said, check your email and see what it says. The email said, the HD is coming so he said, I'll try and if the computer let's me, I'll do it The computer had no restrictions on selling it. No matter, it will be Sunday before you know it.

*Edit*
Don't be late, my Best Buy only had 15 phones.

No worries man! Loved your long post in the other forum. I actually just got back from Best Buy because my 1st one would not connect to wi-fi, but this one will!

Those buttons never flashed on the original until after one of the later updates and then some people said it was not a feature they cared about. So, we shall see what happens.

Some cool options with the camera app:

You can select to take a series of pictures while holding down shutter
You can select to have the shutter release when the subject smiles (how do they do that?)
Self timer can be set
Scenes can be set - landscape, sports, portrait etc.

What camera app?

I say app, but i'm really just referring to the built in camera software.
