Alright guys, been awhile since I've had a serious informational post. So here it is,

I've been developing stuff for Windows Mobile, specifically for my Palm Treo Pro, because besides the emulator that's all I have to test on. So I'm going to attach the CAB file at the bottom for owners of the Samsung Omnia. This is only good for the Omnia because its running WM6, or if there is anyone who owns some other WM device, and just wants to see what all the excitement is about, go for it. Hopefully you've owned your device long enough to know how to install a CAB file.

For those of you who don't:

1) Open up Windows Mobile Device Center
2) Click on "Browse contents of your device"
3) Copy and paste the CAB file into "My Documents"
4) Go into your File|Viewer in the phone and go to your "MyDocuments" directory.
5) Finally just click on the file to install it.

Now it's not some super cool app, it's just a little test program to see how it reacts to the Omnia. When you are finished playing around with it, please take screen shots or camera shots of each of the screens, and then give me a little review of what happened. Please don't review what the app does, lol, just how it does it.

For those of you who just wanna see what it is, or because you don't own a WM device, here's a vid:

Much Appreciated,

Mattman

Wickid, exactly as I thought. Did you find my little joke amusing? lol

Also does it cycle through the screens ok? Meaning you can go from Submit>Confirm>Congrats Screen>And back to the Submit screen again via the reset button hidden in the menu?

LMAO, that would be very clever if I was! But unfortunately I'm not, it dumps the info when you close the program.

Installation unsuccessful? Gunner seems to have done it perfectly on his Omnia. Have you installed a CAB file before?

No, it should have come with the latest 3.5 Framework. You can check for updates if you like in your Settings Menu.

Well that shouldn't be the issue, there must be something wrong with the way you're doing it.

Make sure you place the CAB file into My Documents on your phone, and then launch the installer from there, meaning click on the file and it should install itself.

If this doesn't work, then maybe you have some really high security settings that doesn't allow unsigned apps to be installed on your phone. Does a notification bubble pop up saying that the file is from an "untrusted publisher"? Make sure you click "ok/accept" when this notification pops up. It definitely should pop up.

Hey guys,

I need to see how Bitmaps are compiled and displayed on the Omnia.

So I've attached an app. It's a number guessing game, so you might actually find it amusing. I'd lke to point out that it was originally an app for me and my gf called "Where Should I Stick it" lol.

So a screenshot would be great, hopefully the game works ok and you can actually use it. For anyone else with a WM device feel free to download it and use it.

released under the GNU Public License ver. 3

What do you mean you can't view hotmail??? Are you using the Windows Live App to check ur email? If you are you are sadly mistaken. Got to the icon on your today screen that would normally say "no unread messages". Click on "Setup E-Mail". If you're not recieveing email this way I don't think you're doing it right.

So as you can see their should be no viewing "hotmail", you should be able to sync your account to your device.

Hopefully you get all your issues fixed.
