Does anyone experience very poor reception inside buildings? When I'm at my condo (Mississauga), if someone calls me, 99% of the time my call gets dropped.  When I'm at work, I have no bars at all! I called Bell and they told me to send it for repair...argued for a new phone, they didn't bite.

Anyways, just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem?

I loved the reception on my Instinct.

Let me give you a little lesson. Cell phones work like FM Radios. Signal gets transfered line of sight to the tower, if your line of sight to the tower is interupted, the signal gets weaker. CDMA networks like Bell and Telus generally have worse reception than Rogers for two reasons.

1) Rogers has shorter towers that are very concentrated inside the city. Meaning signal pentrates into buildings easier and more frequently. On the plus side Bell towers are equally spaced out across Ontario and are quite tall, so on the plus side Bell cellphones generally work better in the country than Rogers Cellphones, which is good for me cause I live in the country.

2) GSM (Rogers and Fido) signals have more...how could I explain "particalized signals" that penetrate walls better". CDMA signals are like straight signals that gert significantly weaker everytime they hit a wall.
