I just want to start a topic so people can post new or unfix issues with the new update. This way we can help Bell help us better.

Here BK19 changes :
·        Rebooting SMS and browser

·        You Tube function enhancement

·        Browser function enhancement

·        GPSNav function enhancement

·        Webmail function enhancement

·        Text message composing function enhancement

·        SMS & Voice mail:  Message received date & time correction.

·        Browser UA profile upgrade for standard and mobile modes per SD requirement

·        message threads enhancement

·        Java UA profile update.

·        Improved Micro SD card reading.

·        Ability to use Picture/Video messaging in English and French

·        Picture/Video messaging server connection improvement.




Corfirmed issue list

  • French menu are messed up with weird caracters.
  • Unable to put new bookmarks the fav menu and lost of saved bookmarks in the browser.
  • Phone still rebootonce a while.
  • Bluetooth headphones are still not ok.
  • Voicemail time stamp is off from 5-7 hours
  • Still no Canadian content in News
  • oz to lb calculator report 1.04 instead of 1 when 16 oz is input
  • temperature calculator doesn't accept negative value
  • Still No LCDUI
  • If you are using the media player to play a very long song and you tap on the scroll bar to jump past 1/2 hour mark or so of the song it restarts the song from the beginning instead.
  • Unable to play media files with French character such as é à ù ï ö
  • Pausing a movie will restart it once you press play.
  • GPS is too weak, always asking for a clear sky view while in the car
  • Happy new year ! Pocket Express is not working anymore since 2009

the only thing i noticed, no crashes yet, BUT, Java crashes a lot and is really slow

-LCDUI !!!!!

-Bluetooth headphones volume low

-The media player provides a scroll bar to jump to any location in a song. If you are using the media player to play a very long song, say 1h long, and if you tap on the scroll bar to jump past 1/2 hour mark or so of the song it restarts the song from the beginning instead.

i have found that if you watch a movie....pause it....then click play..it will restart the movie from the begining......very frustrating.....

not sure if this is new or not. but from what i remember pre-update when you were charging your phone it showed you background picture while it was charging now it just shows a black screen

You are right, they have changed it to black background similar to USB mode.

The issue of the file system for MP3 files is still there. That is, if a MP3 file and/or the directory it's in has any character with accents found in French, such as é, è, ¸ê or â, the music player won't play it and will issue an error message: "Application error. Please try again later".

Bell has messed me around with this phone and with my contract.  I'm trying to deal with a guy at Bell but frankly I am ready to send all the info along with my emails yada yada along to the CRTC and see if they want to sort it out.

A new issue has occurred twice which had never happened before BK19 update: all three buttons "<-", "Home", and "Phone" got disabled, and I got stuck in messaging while I was going around my text messages. I ended up rebooting the phone.

Also after update, for some web sites (e.g. RBC Mobile, Outlook Web Access) browser's font size is smaller than before in a way that you have to go 2x zoom, or 1x plus a magnifier!

RSI, I wasn't able to duplicate the problem, maybe other people will report it so we know it is a problem that everybody is experiencing.
