Thanks for the posting to let us know! I'm at 67% (Toronto, ON area). I'll post back when it's done with the changes I see. But based on what sublevel has said, I'm not hoping for much.

From what I can tell right now here are a couple fixes I see:

1)The SMS/Text message time stamp issue is fixed.
2)Little thing where on my game and apps page the title "Games & App's is yellow lol.
3)THE BIG FIX IS DRUM ROLL PLZZZZZZ. Open your browser and click the speak button on the side of your phone. Just like Sprint users you now have a FULL page! This means you can hide the stupid options and use all of the screen!
4)Lost all of my Web Bookmarks but I can handle that with a fix
5)Browser seems faster but have not tested it as of yet.
6)Google Maps downloads but can't get past the T&C's page but it did download lol.
7) Most sites that did crash my phone seem to work now.

More fixes that I see will come soon for now I need to dive into this phone some more.
From what I can tell this is the first Firmware download Sprint users got, this make me hope that the LCDUI one will come to us as long as we keep pushing for it.

And even with the update, I still hate Bell. I lost all my favourites, and my homepage has been reset. Thanks Bell. The browser is significantly faster though, and you can now remove the left navigation bar by pressing the pressing the voice-nav button on the right-hand side of the phone.

Applications that require network access no longer have an error displayed in the "Allow this time" menu option (though sadly, we still don't have an "always allow" option).

No LCDUI still though. Nuts.

Please don't let this update be used as an excuse not to release LCDUI. Let's keep fighting!

However i'll keep bugging bell for the LCDUI!!!! Don't you worry... i just re-started my phone and it seems to be working so far!!! much faster internet!!! TV is still slow though!!!

I hear that... Fixing something that should have never made it outside the beta test phase doesn't rank very highly in my books. OK Bell, the browser is fixed, thanks. The LCDUI updates have been available from Samsung for almost as long... Show me the money.

Like I said this seems to be the same update Sprint got before the the LCDUI fix or a couple before that. Based on the rate Bell moves we should have the LCDUI summer of 2009.
Keep up the good work and keep posting any things you see fixed, changed or improved.

No update to the bluetooth volume issue. Still can't make it very loud.

So I'm assuming that they are using a modified version of the Sprint update. I am thinking that is why a couple of the menu headers (games/apps and Web Bookmarks) are now yellow (like Sprint) instead of blue (Bell).

Dead on MikeBass! That was my thought exactly and this makes me believe that further updates such as the LCDUI should come soon. It also tells us that the Spring firmware updates can easily integrate onto Bell.
