Hey, I tried searching here and found nothing.  After a short battle with a rep from Bell who didn't seem to understand what I was asking for, I got to talk to a supervisor.  He told me that were a few applications to backup contacts and all other important info to the SD card on the phone.  I haven't been able to find any so far.  Do you guys know if there are any programs like that available that DON'T need a keyboard??

Thanks guys...

No there isn't unfortunately, other than the Back-Up service that Bell offers you for your contacts at $3/mth. Did the supervisor you spoke to not mention any of these programs to you? You would think if someone were to make such a sweeping comment they would have proof to back it up? lol, "back it up", Oh pun intended.

Now that I"m on a keyboard that functions better, I can add some more info!

He didn't mention any names...but there were a 'host' of programs that could do it. I asked if any needed keyboard input to work. He shut up after that!

Is their answer to everything a hard reset.  I called about a NEW problem that seemed to arise after re-installing pocket express...freezing while trying to change from weather to news.  I called to tell them that the fix didn't work, and I've had to re-install it a few times to keep functionality.   They wanted to do a hard reset.
He didn't seem to understand that resetting the device to factory settings and then re-installing the software will do exactly the same thing...

I DID however find a few programs that may work.  If they do, I"ll post them here.  The one I've already tried needs a keyboard, so no go there...but the other holds potential.  I'll post as soon as I know.\

It's not going to work without the policy hack, Accessing the memory card is a protected API.

In short if you happen to find a program that works it won't be able to save anything to the memory card.

You could back it up with Bitpim I am sure, but not in a great format or anything, just to copy back to the phone.

I know people have done it via Bluetooth to MS Outlook to the PC... I haven't tried it yet, but I backed mine up to another phone that I don't use.
