On the Sprint Users forum, it is being reported that a new update is available for the Instinct and the S30. No one has been able to DL it yet, but the source indicates that he works for Sprint, and that it is not a joke. Just an FYI and I did not know where else to post this. BTW, I tried to DL and nothing.

true pretty much everyone agrees this is bs i tried and called tech support (we know more about our phones than they do) they said there isnt one.

Seriously I highly doubt his info but am I going to check for updates...yes i will did I already check? Yes i did....did i get an update? No. I didn't. Will i continue to hope for one? Yes I will. Will I ever get it? I Hope so but very doubtful. Do I want a new phone? Yes I do. Can I afford one? No I cannot. Should I stop doing this crap to continue to make you read? No I shouldn't. Will I continue? No. Thanks

Sorry for the slow response, but I wanted to make sure I had all of my facts straight before I posted.

The MR for the Instinct and S30 is still in the works, but the launch date has been delayed.

I know some folks are prone to think the worst and will think that the delay means that the update is never going to happen. I have seen the schedules and the updates are real, but later than originally planned.

I will let everyone know when I receive a target launch  date.

Absolutely. 

Hang loose, folks, we don't want another half-baked update.  The makers of the updates saw the angst and problems from the last one;  now they're taking their time and (hopefully) getting ready to uncork a more complete one.

I do NOT care who you are or what you think....This coming update will not be COMPLETE without Opera being the DEFAULT browser... Opera owns!

I love Opera, too.  But I don't think it's the default browser on any smart phone or other hand-held device.  Lemme know if you know different.  

As a matter of fact, googling "opera mini default browser" only brings up links to advice on how to try to make it the default browser on a device.  I was expecting to see links to sites about specific phones that come with it already as the browser.

But all that is in another thread.   Wink
