I didnt like the chin on android phones. since they redesigned the Hero I am finding it very hard to see a downside to this phone.
gonna be a tough choice.

lol    you know....this forum has become addictive and in a sence, you all are like extended family. I hate to keep seeing people drop from here like flies but life will go on and most of us will move on to new devices as well.

Has anybody else read the reviews on the Hero?  Granted, they called it the best android phone yet, but they also called it laggy, and it's multimedia capabilities aren't ranked so great either.  It looks like i'll be waiting for some real world reviews by some of you early adopters... Wink

well it's been out for awhile now in europe and if you go to the the forums they are saying an software update has improve the lagging plus some other issues..

That would be good, but the review I read was only a month old.

And f3justusc, I'm not sure about the activation fee.  I really don't think I paid one when I bought the instinct.

yes they do charge you an activation fee (one time)non refundable.
and -Z- i think they have a video on youtube of the software update for the HERO.maybe its not release to the public.

I paid an activation fee when I bought my instinct, when I bought my previous phon the sanyo katana dlx and when I transfer my partner's phone number to Sprint back in June. I bought him an S30.

I'm just hoping that the Sprint Hero will be release with the new patch. From what I've read in the Android forums the patch is supposed to be officialy release in Sept. I can only hope.
